INNO PLAZA 2027

Making the Future of Learning Visible, Tangible and Experiential

Inno Plaza is a new kind of environment within ITK EXPO, bringing together future learning environments, technology and hands-on experiences.

ITK2027 will take place at Tampere Hall, Finland, on 21–23 April 2027. ITK brings together the full spectrum of the Finnish education community: teachers, school principals and educational leaders, researchers and developers, ICT professionals, municipal education leaders and decision-makers, as well as education technology companies. In 2026, ITK attracted more than 3,500 participants over three days.

What is Inno Plaza?

Inno Plaza is not a conventional exhibition area. Its focus is on doing, trying and experiencing.

Our ambition is to demonstrate in concrete terms what the future of teaching, learning and learning environments could look like. At Inno Plaza, technology does not have to be presented through brochures or PowerPoint slides – it can become part of a real, interactive environment.

The ITK audience makes this particularly valuable. In addition to teachers and education professionals, the event attracts a significant number of school principals and other educational leaders and decision-makers, as well as senior representatives responsible for education and cultural services in Finnish municipalities and cities.

ITK therefore brings together both the people who use educational solutions in their everyday work and those who shape educational strategy, develop learning environments and influence decisions concerning technology, investments and future development.

At Inno Plaza, a company could create, for example, a classroom of the future, an AI-powered learning environment, an immersive space, a new digital working and learning environment, or another interactive concept that visitors can experience for themselves. The original concept is precisely to enable larger and more functional environments than a conventional exhibition stand.

At Inno Plaza, the primary objective is not to show what a company sells. It is to show what can be achieved with its solutions.

Companies and Users – Together

Some of the most interesting Inno Plaza concepts can be created jointly by a company and one of its customers or partners.

The partner could be a school, municipality or city, university, research group or other educational organisation.

This brings real-world experience alongside the technology. Visitors can see and hear how the solution is actually being used, what has been achieved with it, what has been learned during implementation, and how it is changing teaching, learning or the way an educational organisation operates.

Inno Plaza as Part of ITK EXPO

Inno Plaza will be located in Sorsapuistosali, which will become one of the key meeting and discovery environments of ITK2027.

The same space will bring together:

• Inno Plaza – large-scale, interactive showcases of future learning environments
• Demo Stage – short, practical demonstrations and joint presentations by companies and educational organisations
• Poster Exhibition – research, development projects and practical experiments
• Coffee Plaza – a natural meeting point for participants
• ITK Lounge – a relaxed environment for conversations, meetings and networking.

Together, these elements will create an environment where the exhibition, hands-on demonstrations, research, educators’ experiences and conversations all meet.

Inno Plaza + Demo Stage

An Inno Plaza presence can also be complemented by a presentation on the Demo Stage.

A company can use the Demo Stage to demonstrate its solution in practice or take the stage together with a customer to present a real-world use case. Teachers and educational organisations can also present their own projects, experiments and innovations.

The idea is to keep the presentations short, concrete and practical:

one solution, one experience or one idea that the audience can take away with them.

In this way, the physical Inno Plaza environment and the Demo Stage programme can reinforce each other.

Why Inno Plaza?

One of ITK’s greatest strengths is its unique combination of people and perspectives.

At the same event, teachers, researchers and developers share their experiences, research, experiments and successes – as well as lessons learned when things did not go as planned. Companies, in turn, bring the technologies and solutions that can enable the next steps in education.

For companies, ITK also provides an opportunity to meet an exceptionally broad cross-section of the Finnish education sector. Alongside teachers and technology specialists, participants include school principals, educational leaders and decision-makers, education developers, and senior municipal and city officials responsible for education and cultural services.
